Business Systems Group ISV Partner Programme.
BSG has developed a partnership programme to support Independent Software Vendors (ISV's). This programme has been developed specifically to ensure that ISV's are able to deliver a fully integrated application solution to their customers, using a choice of application deployment models. Each model is designed to suit a different application requirement or circumstance of sale. The BSG ISV partner programme provides the following levels of partnership:
- As an outsourcing SaaS partner - implementing viable Software as a Service models to enable software vendors to deliver faster speed to market, reduced risk and reduced costs of ownership to their customers.
- As an infrastructure partner - working with ISV's in order to deliver a complete solution to a customer, where the domain expertise of an ISV is complemented by that of a leading technology integrator.
- As a traditional integration partner - marketing, selling, implementing and supporting application solutions.
The objective of this programme is to establish new mutually beneficial business partnerships between BSG and ISV's in the above areas.
Application Service Delivery - Software as a Service
Over the past couple of years, BSG has worked with a number of ISV's to implement viable application service delivery models and as a result we have developed a partnership programme for ISV's which is designed to deliver incremental revenues and business opportunities. BSG's Application delivery service falls under two separate models, a one-to-one model where each client has dedicated infrastructure and an individually tailored service level agreement or a one-to-many model where each client shares common infrastructure components and has a global service level agreement - this gives a high degree of flexibility to the ISV in both deployment and pricing methodologies.
Purchasing 'an application as a service' as opposed to deploying it in-house is becoming an increasingly common request and software vendors need to have viable solution offerings to address this requirement.
BSG specialises in providing custom-built Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions that allow Software Vendors to deliver their applications to market as a managed service. BSG helps reduce the 'pain' associated with setting up an application service solution, i.e. BSG significantly reduce the up-front and ongoing costs associated with implementing and managing the underlying technology infrastructure required to deliver 'Application Service' solutions.
This proposition is underpinned by a highly resilient and scalable data-centre and network infrastructure, which is complemented by a comprehensive portfolio of managed services. This infrastructure and managed service portfolio is ISO27001 certified. Click here to find out more about ISO27001 and what it means to your clients requirements.
BSG's proposition is such that the ISV's are able to sell Application Service solutions and still maintain their traditional upfront licence revenues . BSG enable the ISV to have the choice in terms of delivering and managing the service (under SLA) and contracting directly with the customer or having BSG prime the service.
This gives the ISV the option to price the solution on a traditional per user licensing contract basis for a fixed duration or on a per user/per month basis where users could be switched on or off as the client demands. This change in pricing model reflects the market demand for flexibility and the demand from ISV's to create a strong recurring revenue business.
Ultimately, BSG can help reduce the cost and the business and technology risk confronted by software vendors when deploying new application service models.
Infrastructure partnership.
Outside of the Application Service models, the other benefits of the programme are related to infrastructure. BSG recognise that every time an ISV sells its application, it creates a requirement for IT infrastructure.
BSG believes that forming a partnership to address this infrastructure requirement at the point that an ISV sells the application can benefit both the customer and the ISV.
In partnership, BSG and the ISV have the ability to deliver a complete business solution to a customer, where the domain expertise of an ISV is complemented by that of a leading technology integrator.
By controlling the sale of all the third party solution elements the ISV can often 'lock out' the competition from gaining a foothold in their clients. Also mindful that the during the lifecycle of an application (typically 5-8 years) the value of the infrastructure could be worth 5 fold that of the application licences as the infrastructure grows or is updated or as annual third-party hardware and software licences, support, and maintenance are renewed, this could add up to significant additional revenue for little or no initial cost of sale by the ISV.
Application Integration
BSG offer, a application integration software and service - i.e. as a traditional integration partner-marketing, selling, implementing and supporting application solutions. We would welcome the opportunity to explore potential partnerships with all ISV's seeking integration partners. For more information on our current range of partners, click here
