HP Integrity Servers
The new HP Integrity servers, based on Intel Itanium processors, bring
unprecedented performance and flexibility for Windows, Linux and HP-UX. HP now
offer the broadest Itanium server line-up in the industry, from the 2-way
RX2600 to the 64-way Superdome.
Itanium is the next generation of processing power based on 64bit EPIC
(Explicitly Parallel Instruction set Computing). Itanium has been co-developed
by HP and Intel over the last decade.
High End - HP Integrity Superdome
Initially introduced with the 1.5 GHz Intel Itanium 2 processor, the Integrity
Superdome has demonstrated its leading performance, operating system
flexibility, and simplified management architecture, as well as best-in-class
solution deployment. Now with 128-way configurations made possible with the mx2
dual-processor module, this server can bring significant increases in workload
capacity and performance density-a level of functionality and value well beyond
what the industry has offered to date.
With in-chassis processor upgrades for existing PA-RISC processor-based HP 9000
Superdome systems, HP offers investment protection and a better return on IT
investment.
The Integrity Superdome delivers a significant performance increase over the
existing PA-8700+ servers, plus it offers 1 terabyte of memory capacity for
running larger enterprise applications. The cell board design and the
accompanying sx1000 chipset enable this record breaking performance and also
deliver enhanced high availability. With expanded investment protection from
in-chassis upgrades to future Intel Itanium processors and enhanced flexibility
to combine Intel Itanium 2 processors and mx2 dual-processor modules in
separate partitions in the same system, the Integrity Superdome showcases its
position as the premier high-end server.

Mid Range
Midrange models equipped with mx2 dual-processor modules provide the flexibility
to deploy twice the number of processors as was previously possible in these
systems, opening the door for unprecedented multi-OS consolidation
opportunities and outstanding TCO.
Current HP 9000 system customers with rp7410, rp7420, rp8400, and rp8420 server
models can easily upgrade to single Intel Itanium 2 processors and mx2
dual-processor modules to enjoy the numerous benefits of Integrity rx7620-16
and rx8620-32 servers. Both Integrity server models have the flexibility to
combine Intel Itanium 2 processors and mx2 dual-processor modules on separate
cell boards in the same system, and both models provide tremendous investment
protection with in-chassis upgradeability to future high-performance Itanium
processors. These servers also offer the broadest choices of operating systems,
including HP-UX 11i, Linux, Windows Server 2003, and OpenVMS (planned for
2005), as well as partitioning capabilities to increase utilisation, return on
IT investment, and uptime.
