Project Management
BSG believes a successful project needs tight control and is therefore reliant on good project management. This role is critical to the success of meeting customer expectations. We believe our Prince II certified Project Managers are the best in the industry, with experience in managing projects of all sizes up to and including global infrastructure roll outs. With its ISO9001 accreditation, combined with a track record of delivering on time and to budget, BSG is committed to managing projects via the highest quality standards in order to minimise risks and ensure delivery on time.
BSG applies a phased approach to projects and employs a Project Manager to ensure that the solution meets the required objectives from a cost, resource and time perspective.
This approach provides a framework and a set of deliverables at each stage; it also gives the flexibility to adapt to inevitable changing requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The success of this project will depend upon adhering to methodologies that BSG has developed through experience gained from similar projects. The project management of the implementation and integration is key to the delivery of complex solutions. This assists BSG to deliver solutions that meet customers' expectations in terms of time scales, functionality and cost.
The Project Manager is involved at every stage of the project, working closely with the client, pre-sales, technical architects and system engineers. A pragmatic, delivery focused approach is taken to assembling a project organisation. This ensures a team is produced that integrates effectively with our clients and allows a smooth handover to operation
Pre-sales
BSG Principal Consultants work closely with you to develop your current and future business requirements into infrastructure solutions at the pre-sales stage.
Principal Consultants within BSG have a minimum of 15 years' practical experience in the IT sector and will be qualified to the highest standards with BSG's partners. BSG Principal Consultants are equipped with a broad industry knowledge coupled with an in depth knowledge of the infrastructure and technology provided by leading vendors, backed up by BSG's vendor independent research facilities.
This means BSG Principal Consultants are able to analyse your issues and define high level solutions and provide technical strategy recommendations which guide future stages of the project.
Pre-Sales work closely with our delivery team and ensure that all solutions are technically verified by our certified technical architects.
Workshop
The workshop ensures that everyone is fully focused on the goals of a project. Our workshops are led by a senior project manger who works extremely closely with certified technical architects to ensure that all requirements are captured. Our technical architects bring a fresh pair of eyes to this critical stage of the project, helping you identify goals and business drivers, understanding your technical infrastructure and advising you on your project plan.
The aim of the workshop is to establish a detailed understanding of the business and technical objectives and agree a high-level implementation strategy. This typically creates the following deliverables:
